At Star Academy, we created a new curriculum for our awesome stars. This curriculum showcases activities that are involved in all aspects of life. The child examines and practices these activities in a proper atmosphere and gains knowledge. These activities are cultural and specific to the child’s age and country. These specially formulated activities help give the child a sense of being and belonging, built through participation in daily life with us. Through practical life, the child learns about his culture and the environment. These practical and hands-on activities are an integral part of any Montessori environment. The star Academy comprises of curriculum that focuses on the early years of child development. Our Montessori is the combination of Montessori conception and early year’s education. We have designed this program by considering national & International factors carefully.

Children’s positive dispositions towards learning, and themselves as learners, are essential for success in school and beyond. Children learn best in environments where they have supportive connections with the teachers, Class heads and administrative staff. Childhood programs are most effective when kids recognize, value and build upon the cultural and social experiences. Building progression of learning as children move through school provides support for their future success. Beyond the Classroom, activities are an essential part of our teaching program. Our curriculum mainly focuses on these three factors

1. English & Urdu: Four areas are reading, writing, listening and speaking.

2. Mathematics: the essential parts are Mental Maths, concept clarity, practice and application.

3. General knowledge: enhances a child’s extensive information through different fun activitie

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education is based on the British curriculum but adapted for a more internationally-focused student body. The IGCSE allows for differing levels of ability by offering both Core and Extended curriculum papers in some subjects

Curriculum and Instruction

Our students at The Star Academy take 5 compulsory subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Mathematics) to broaden their view and for a better future. Students usually elect to take Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, and Urdu at the end of their second year in IGCSE. These are not compulsory for those students applying to foreign institutions for Higher Education, nor is it a requirement for those who are foreign citizens. Pakistani residents who are certain they will be sending their children abroad for Higher Education are also not required to take those three subjects.

Here the students are encouraged to study a wide range of subjects at the same time. In order to follow the broad and balanced curriculum, many students take courses from each of the IGCSE groups, particularly if they’re aiming to go on to further education. This can lead to the award of the International Certificate of Education (ICE) an additional qualification that recognizes students who pass exams in seven or more subjects, including two languages and one subject from each of the other groups of 5. The course differs for each subject, but throughout the programme, there will be a mix of assessment methods, including coursework, practical exercises, oral and listening tests, projects and written examinations.

We teach a wide range of subjects including: Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies and Mathematics.

Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) is Pakistan’s popular qualification for 16 to 18 years old. It is recognized by leading universities around the world. This qualification is renowned for developing vital educational skills, including recall of known, oral skills, problem-solving, leadership, teamwork and investigative skills.

It is tried, tested and trusted by schools, colleges & universities worldwide. The Higher Secondary Certificate is subdivided into science and non-Science programs. The students concentrating in science programs are awarded Faculty in Science (F.Sc.) in which the students choose their Pre-Engineering, Pre-medical and Computer Science Programs. For students who want to pursue their career in Social Sciences and Humanities HSSC provides Faculty in Arts (FA).

Curriculum and Syllabus:

HSSC curriculum offers a variety of routes for learners with a wide range of abilities, along with the ways that can help them to refine their abilities and skills. The syllabus is set by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) which is an international board of education in Pakistan. The subjects offered are rigorously taught by established and experienced faculty, with extensive training on the program. The course differs for each subject, but there will be a mix of assessment methods, which includes coursework, practical exercises, oral and listening tests, projects and written examinations.

We offer HSSC qualifications in Pre-Engineering and Pre-medical. The curriculum usually includes a combination of seven courses including elective and compulsory subjects. The major subjects which are taken in Faculty in Science (F.Sc) are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics English and Computer Science while others are awarded Faculty in Arts (F.A.) certificate. The students concentrating on business subjects are awarded Intermediate in Commerce (I.Com). The Higher Secondary Schools are Junior colleges or Intermediate colleges in Pakistan.
